IF HEAVEN WAS A MILE AWAY

If heaven was a mile away i would have packed my bag and leave this world,

If heaven was a mile away,
I'd run as fast as my feet will carry me and I swear nothing will make me stay.

living in this world is like a nightmare, the streets are no longer safe

If heaven was a mile away,
I will do all I can to be among the few that will line up at it's gate

I know that I won't have to wait long because God's name is printed on my DNA 

and He knows I have been running the Christian race,

I try to help those I meet along the way, even with all my burdens and travail

I will still press on
